Suzanne Brierley-Westall, a seasoned artist with a passion for creativity, feels as though she was born with a paintbrush in her hand. With an enduring love for art in all its diverse forms, she has cultivated a remarkable fifty-year career that spans various disciplines, including Film, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Painting, and Drawing.

Throughout her illustrious career, Suzanne has actively participated in numerous community projects and curated an impressive 30 solo exhibitions. Her artistic journey has taken her to the vibrant cultural landscapes of London, Paris, and Australia, where she both exhibited her work and engaged in enriching studies.

In the early stages of her artistic exploration, Suzanne found inspiration in social and political themes, embracing 'Art as commentary.' She particularly gravitated towards the expressive medium of graffiti, now commonly referred to as street art, which played a significant role in shaping her artistic identity. Today, Suzanne's work reflects the distilled essence of those formative years, anchored by the mixed media techniques she has developed.

Her artistic repertoire showcases a captivating range of thoughts and emotions, presented through a diverse array of images that seamlessly transition from abstract to conventional. Suzanne's preferred canvas is paper, where she employs inks and pastels to bring her creations to life. The resulting works exude a vibrant liveliness and movement, defining her unique and colourful artistic style.
